Code of Ethics for Youth WorkersThis one day training workshop will assist those who work with young people to develop their understanding of ethical practices – based on the Code of Ethics for Youth Workers in WA – and apply this knowledge in their work. By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:
Method The training session will be interactive and based on adult learning principles. If booking as an organisation, you will be encouraged to provide relevant scenarios that require ethical decisions for case studies to use in the training, to best suit your organisations context. Participants The training will aim to benefit all staff who support young people. Venue and Catering If booking as an organisation, your organisation will be responsible for providing a venue that is appropriate for the number of participants, as well as basic equipment such as a data projector, screen, whiteboard, speakers and internet. The training schedule provides for a morning tea and lunch break, as well as a short break in the afternoon. Youth Work WA do not provide catering, so this would need to be self funded by the organisation or individual participants. Open Sessions We also hold 'open sessions' where individuals can register and attend alongside other Youth Workers and students. The cost for individuals to register for an open session are: $185 standard, $165 Youth Work WA Member, $125 student. Individuals registering for open sessions will receive:

Youth Work Ethics For Emerging LeadersThis one day workshop is aimed at managers and team leaders who have responsibility for supporting youth workers. The workshop will explore a range of ways to incorporate the Code of Ethics for Youth Workers in WA more deeply in your work. The training will focus on the Code, and on the suite of materials developed by Youth Work WA and YACWA, aimed at embedding the Code in youth work practice, programs and organisations in WA.
